Mallory specializes in working with those whose counseling goals culminate into a lifelong goal of a deepening relationship with Christ. Those she works with often feel disconnected with themselves and God due to shame, loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, or any other life stressor. Mallory strives to help clients feel comfortable in sharing their stories without guilt and shame.
Mallory has gathered training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Health, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Strategic Family Therapy. She is completing certification in Spiritual Direction through Sustainable Faith. Mallory enjoys incorporating faith concepts from the Desert Fathers and Mothers, Dallas Willard, Theology of the Body, and monasticism.
Outside of the office, Mallory mostly spends time with her family and raising two girls. She loves to be outside exploring the Virginia mountains and spends a lot of time at the Peaks of Otter. During her alone time, she enjoys reading, gardening, painting, and doodling. Within her artwork, she loves to explore the themes of brokenness and abandonment within our redemption stories.
